She is survived by her daughter Holly (David) Jankowski of Palmyra; grandsons Michael Jankowski of Macedon and Mark (Deirdre) Jankowski of Clifton Springs, four great grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Mara and David Jankowski; sister, Shirley E. Smith of Ogdensburg; sister-in-law Betty Spooner of Ogdensburg; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband, Robert Short, brother, Claude (Jack) Spooner of Ogdensburg and an adopted sister Gladys Rathburn. Mrs. Short was born in Ogdensburg on February 1, 1916, a daughter of the late Henry G. and Olla Nevin Spooner.
Calling hours will be held at the McGuire/Hargrave & Murphy Funeral Home, 123 E. Jackson Street, Palmyra Monday 4 -7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30AM Tuesday at St. Anne's Church, Palmyra. Burial in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ogdensburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne County Nursing Home Foundation, 1529 Nye Rd., Lyon, NY 14489 in her memory.
