  - Note: Obituary incorrectly states Melvina's mother was Margaret Lamica Recore, when it was Marguerite Dumas Recore. Melvina Wicks, 80, of 806 Congress St., Ogdensburg, died Sept. 13, 1986 at the United Helpers Cedars Nursing Home in Ogdensburg. Burial was in the Ogdensburg Cemetery. Surviving are a son, Henry and two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Premo and Mrs. Betty Scott, all of Ogdensburg. Also, a sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Como of Uitca. She was predeceased by a son, Albert, a daughter Mrs. Shirley Kendall, a sister, Mrs. Lena LeBoeuf, and five brothers, Jospeh, Paul, Alex, John and George. She was born March 22, 1900 in Malone to Frank and Margaret Lamica Recore. She married Henry Wicks on April 13, 1918. Mr. Wicks died in 1968. She was employed at the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital in the kitchen department for several years. She attended St. John's Episcopal Church.
