- Oswego, NY Daily Times, Thursday, Feb. 27, 1908, Funeral of Mr. LaPointe; Services for former Oswego man held at Boston Tuesday.
The funeral of the late William H. LaPointe, a well known hotel proprietor of Boston and formerly a resident of Oswego, took place in the Second Church of that city Tueady afternoon, the Rev. W. H. Byder of Gloucester and the Rev. E. A. Horton of Boston, officiating. This service was followed by the Masonic burial rites and the funeral was attended by a number of different Masonic bodies and representatives of the Hotel Men's Association. The floral offerings were numerous.
Mr. LaPoint is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Steele of Montana, and Mrs. Nelson Como of Ogdensburg, and two nieces, Mrs. Capt. J.S. Barton of Delta, Col., and Mrs. S. Himple of this city, and one nephew, James McConkay of this city.
