- - 1900 U.S. census, Ogdensburg 1st ward, House 80: Katie Walling is 19 years old and is living in a rented house on Congress Street with her husband William Walling. They have been married for one year and there are no children living with them. She was born 25 Nov 1880 in Canada. Both her parents were also born in Canada. She emigrated to the U.S. in 1884 and has been in the U.S. for 15 years. She can read and write.

- Baptism Certificate: Catherine was originally a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ogdensburg but on Oct. 2, 1904 she was baptised into St. John's Episcopal Church. Her daughter, Mary Dorothy Walling was also baptised into the same Church on the same day.
- City death record: Catherine Walling died at the age of 61 years, 3 months, 1 day. She owned her home and was a housewife. She was born in Ottawa, Ontario to Louis LaFlair (who was born in Canada) and Mary Polley (who was born in Canada). She died of Hodgkins disease.
- Jan. 14, 1933: Members of Parent-Teachers Association of No. 6 school made plans for their Founders night celebration which will be held Feb. 10 at a regular meeting of the group Friday night at the school. A program under the direction if Mrs. William Walling as chairperson and refreshments will be included.
- Jan. 7, 1935: Mrs. Walling is Injured By Fall: Mrs. Catherine Walling of 923 Congress St. was removed to Hepburn Hospital this morning following a fall in the basement of the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Westbrook, Jay Street, where she is employed. She suffered a cut on the head. The accident occurred when Mrs. Walling had a dizzy spell and fell. She was attended by Dr. Jay Meeker.

- Obituary: Feb. 28 1943: Mrs. Catherine laFlair Walling died at the family home, 923 Congress St. (Feb. 27, 1943.) She was born in Ottawa, Ontario on Nov. 26, 1880 to Louis and Mary Polley LaFlair. She came to the city at an early age. She was a member of St. John's Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward Cayen of Ogdensburg, two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Boyer (Syracuse) and Eunice LaFlair (Newark, N.Y.), two grandchildren, Mrs. Catherine Martin and Miss Elizabeth Cayen, city, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at the home, 923 Congress St., Monday, and at St. John's Episcopal Church. Arrangements by Ramsdell-Ewart Funeral Service.
