- - Funeral services for Robert J. Adams Jr., age 63 of Ford Avenue in Ogdensburg, will be held at 4:00pm on Monday (May 7, 2018) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Deacon Mark Lalonde officiating. Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date.
Calling hours will be held also on Monday from 12:00noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Adams passed away at his home early Thursday morning with his loving wife by his side.
Surviving is his wife Roberta “Robin” Adams; a son Robert Adams III & his wife Dee of Honolulu, HI; two daughters Christine Yimer & her husband Yared of Virginia and April Paciotti & her husband Gene of Idaho; a brother George Adams & his wife Cindy of Lisbon; four sisters Melanie Avril and her husband Larry, Kathy Armstrong, JoAnna Brenno & her husband Scott and Valerie Kroeger & her husband Andy all of Ogdensburg; Grandchildren Colton, Olivia, Emma & Roseanna Adams; Elizabeth, Emily, Sarah & Isabella Yimer; and Michael, Megan & Sophia Piciott; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Bob was born on December 12, 1954 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of the late Robert & Arlene (Smithers) Adams Sr. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and BOCES. He later married Roberta “Robin” Como on June 1, 1974 at the Westland Baptist Church in Lisbon. He enlisted in the US Airforce from April 03, 1974 until April 14, 1978 when he received his honorable discharge.
During his career he was employed at Lupia Electric, United Helpers, Hoosier Magnetics and Lowes. He was a former member of the Ogdensburg Am Vets and enjoyed camping, playing horseshoes, stained glass projects, feeding the birds and spending time with his family.
