    • - Fred and his wife Ruth left Ogdensburg in 1926.

      - Ogdensburg Journal, Dec. 16, 1963: Fred M. Hutt, 73, retired manager of the J. C. Penny store at Owego, and former resident of this city, died Saturday afternoon (Dec. 14, 1963) at Owego, of a cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral rites will be held Wednesday morning at Owego and the body brought to the Ogdensburg Cemetery, where a committal service will be held. The Rev. Hugh P. Holland, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate. The body, will be placed in the vault pending burial in the spring. Surviving Mr. Hutt are his wife, the former Ruth Como of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Marie) Stewart of Baldwin, L. I.; a grandson, Allen Stewart; two brothers, Clarence Hutt of Oxbow and Frank Hutt of Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Colburn of Gouverneur and Iva of Syracuse; also nephews, in inluding Paul Jones of this city. Mr. Hutt was brother-in-law of Roy L. Jones of 720
      Congress St., whose wife, Cora, was a sister of Mrs. Hutt. Before going to Owego, Mr. Hutt was a sales clerk at The Surprise Store here for many years. He was manager of the Penny store in Oswego for many years prior to retiring.
