    • - Tupper Lake Free Press, Aug. 25, 1960: Joseph P. Dumas, 73, died unexpectedly at his home, 37 Lindsay Ave., about 9 a. m. Friday. He had a heart condition for several years, but remained active and had motored to Malone Monday. He waa brought home early Friday morning after having suffered a heart attack in that village. Funeral services were teld Monday at 9 a. m. at St Alphonsus Church. Interment was In St. Alphonsus Cemetery, here. He was born at Burke June 9, 1887, the son of Mose and Mary Recore Dumas, and married Miss Bessie Mary Gardner at Lawrence, Mass. in 1913. They moved to Tupper Lake fram Moira about 35 years ago. Mr. Dumas worked at carpentry here, and was employed at the American Mountain Camp for some years, until his retirement two years ago. He was active In Tupper Lake Lodge 640, Loyal Order of Moose. Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Leonard Dumas, TupperLake, and Lloyd Dumas, Massena; three daughters: Mrs. Mary Garrant, Mrs. Sarah Theibert and Mrs. Laura Gauthier, all of Maaaena: 15 | grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; also one brother, Henry Dumas of Salem Depot, N.H.
