    • - Edward Cayen spent most of his working life at Acco in Ogdensburg. Primary address was 923 Congress St. He served for a time in the National Guard. Cause of death: heart attack.

      - Edward Cayen, child of Rudolph Cayen and Philomena Robillard, born in Ogdensburg, N.Y. on 29 Oct 1900, was baptised on 29 Oct 1900 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Ogdensburg, N.Y.

      - Good Conduct certificate from "Ecole Saint Pierre." A certificate for good behavior for Edmond Cayen dated September 1908. Ecole Saint Pierre was a private school associated with Notre Dame Church which gave an education to French-speaking children.

      - 1925 N.Y. State census: Edward Cayen (24) is working as a shipping clerk. He lives in a boarding house at 417 Ford Ave. with his wife Dorothy (24) and children Elizabeth (1) and Catherine (150 days). Also living is the same building are his in-laws, William and Catherine Walling.

      - Ogdensburg Advance of 11/14/1954: E. P. Cayen dead: Edward P Cayen, 54, of 923 Congress St.. died suddenly Friday Night (Nov. 12. 1954) after being stricken with a heart attack at 5:45 p.m. Mr. Cayen had been an employe of the Standard Shade Roller Corp for the past 10 and a half years. He was a member of St John's Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose 814. He was a former member of the New York National Guard of Ogdensburg, enlisting in 1918 and being honorably discharged in 1923 with the rank of corporal. Born in this city Oct. 29. 1900 he was the son of the late Joseph Cayen and Philomene Robillard. On Oct 29. 1921 he was married to Miss Dorothy Walling in St John's church by the Rev. D Charles White. Suirviving are his wife: two daughters. Mrs Earl (Elizabeth) Como and Mrs Joseph (Catherine) Martin, several aunts and ancles; and one niece, Mrs. Joseph Woods of Syracuse. His brother John died three years ago. Funeral services will be at St Johns Church Monday at 10 a.m., Canon Palmer officiating. The body is reposing at Ramsdel Ewart Funeral Home. Burial will be made in the Ogdensburg Cemetery.

      - Oct. 29, 1931: Marriage license isued at Ogdensburg, NY for Dorothy Walling, 21, living at home, and Edward Cayen, 21, employed at the Brass Factory.

      - Nov. 3, 1921 Advance News: Edmund Cayen and Miss Mary Dorothy Walling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Walling, were married at St. John's Church Saturday noon by Archdeacon I. C. White. They were attended by Ernest Russell and Miss Mary Wicks. Mr. and Mrs. Cayen will reside in this city. Mr. Cayen Is a member of Company I, National Guard.

      - Advance News of July 24, 1938: Mrs. Henry Hurst, R. D. 1, was injured on the forehead when a car which was driven by her husband collided with a machine operated by Edward Cayen, 923 Congress street on the Canton road, one mile from the city yesterday. Mr. Hurst in reporting the accident to the police said he was traveling west on the highway when the car proceeding in the opposite direction turned sharply in front of his machine. Both machines were considerably damaged.

      - In July of 1942, Edward Cayen, 924 Congress, was advertising for Man Wanted for haying, good wages.
