  - Clifford E. Buffham was b. about 1931 and in 1935 resided Potsdam. In 1940, he was at Potsdam, aged 9, son of Glen A. and Hazel E. Buffham. - July 18. 1949: Corporal Clifford E. Buffham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Buffham of Madrid, N. Y. reported last January for duty with the 2nd Bombardment Wing at Chatam Air Force. Base, Savannah, Georgia. He is attached to the 2nd Finance Disbursing Unit. Cpl. Buffham entered the service in June 1948 at Watertown. After completing basic training he was sent to Fort Francis E. Warren at Cheyenne, Wyo., where he attended the clerk typist school. He was sent to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona and from there to Savannah. - January, 1967, Watertown Daily Times: SSgt Clifford Buffham, his wife and two children, who have been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Buffham, Madrid, will go to Pensacola, FL where he has been assigned for 18 months to complete his Air Force career and retire. Sgt. Buffham, 37, joined the AF when he was 17 and has been assigned in Africa, England, Germany and Alaska.
