- - 1900 U.S. census, Ogdensburg: Carrie is 6 years old and is living with her parents Fred (Frank) and Jennie LaFlair. She was born in September 1893 in New York state.
- 1910 U.S. census, Ogdensburg, Carrie O. LaFlair is 16 years old ad is living with her father, Joseph LaFlair and her grandmother, Mary, and her grandmother's husband John F. O'Hagan.
- July 22, 1919: Miss Carrie Olivia Laflair of Ogdensburg and John Heeter of Indiana were quietly married at St. Mary's Cathedral Wednesday morning (July 16) at 9 o'clock. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. William Walling. The bride wore a traveling suit of blue and a white hat and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The grom is a returned soldier, having been five years in the service. They left immediately for Syracuse, Niagara Falls and Buffalo, and will make their home in Indiana where the groom resides. Their many friends extend their best wishes to the happy couple.
- 1920 U.S. Census: Carrie Heeter resides in Huntington, Ind., Ward 1, age 26, born abt. 1894 in NY State. There is a Jacob Heeter, 36, ID'd as brother in law, and Carrie Heeter, 26, ID'd as sister in law, living with Joe Petrie, 48; wife Elizabeth Petrie, 38; son Alfred Petrie, 11 and son Raymond Petrie, 4. The Petries were all born Indiana; Jacob and parents were b. Indiana but Carrie and parents b. NY. Jacob Heeter must be a brother to Joe Petrie's wife Elizabeth.
- Carrie is found at Niagara Falls from at least 1923 through at least 1939.
- 1930 census has Carrie Heeter, 32, at Niagara Falls, NY. where her father died in 1928. She is residing with other families at the same address, and is by herself. She is 35 and says she is married. She works as a domestic for a private family.
- 1938 & 1939: Carrie O. Heeter resides Niagara Falls.
- Carrie is not found in the 1940 census when she would be 47, though we know she was residing at Niagara Falls in 1939. It would appear that she remarried.
