  Auvray (Madeleine) An article from the Mémoire du Quebec (2018). Born in the Saint-Vivien parish of Rouen (Seine-Maritime, Normandy, France). Daughter of the King arrived at Quebec on July 30, 1671 aboard Prince Maurice . Mother of the Matte/Auvray lineage of America. Wife Nicolas Matte in Quebec City on October 12, 1671; of this union came: Marie-Francoise Matte (married to Francois Laroche ), Laurent Matte (married to Francoise Sylvestre), Marie-Jeanne Matte (married to Jacques Bourgouin), Nicolas Matte (married to Marie Angelique Coquin), Marie-Madeleine Matte (married to Noel Pelletier), Marie-Anne Matte (married to Romain Dubuc), Alexis Matte (married to Marie Françoise Carpentier), Marie-Louise Matte (married to Jean François Constantineau) and Marie-Angelique Matte (married to Joseph Garnier).
