- - Oct. 29, 1984: Funeral services for Martha Ellen Fisher, 45, 310 Park St., will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the McLellan Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be this evening and Tuesday afternoon and evening. Mrs. Fisher was pronounced
dead on arrival at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital on Saturday (Oct. 27, 1984) evening, after being stricken while attending a wedding reception. Surviving are her husband, Richard; her mother, Ellen Sobon Bell, city; two daughters, Kathleen Ann and Sue Ellen, both of Ogdensburg; two sons, Richard, Fort Bragg, N.C., and Steven,
Ogdensburg; four sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Rosemary) Ferguson and Mrs. Terry (Catherine) Axtel, both of Ogdensburg, Mrs. Donald (Elizabeth) Dietschweiler, Canton Road, and Mrs. Royal (Susan) Ellison, Pearl River, N.Y.; and three brothers, James and John Paul Bell, both of Ogdensburg, and Thomas Bell, Rochester. Mrs. Fisher was born Sept. 12, 1939 in Ogdensburg, daughter of James and Ellen F. Sobon Bell. She attended Bishop Conroy Memorial
School and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. On March 22, 1958, she married Richard T. Fisher at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Joseph Deegan officiating. She was employed as a medical therapist at the St. Lawrence
Psychiatric Center and was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Parish and the St. Lawrence County Civil Service Employees Association.
